About the project

Al Marjan Island is a unique coastal district combining luxury, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. Located on four man-made islands along the coastline of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, it sets new standards for elite waterfront developments. This area is not only an ideal place to live but also a landmark tourist destination in the region.

Our team faced the ambitious challenge of creating a multi-page website that would fully showcase the benefits of Al Marjan Island and match its level of exclusivity. The client wanted the site to emphasize the uniqueness of the location, highlight its convenient infrastructure, and demonstrate opportunities for comfortable living and recreation.

  • Project Goals and Objectives

  • Convey the Atmosphere and Style of the District: Highlight the combination of luxury design and natural beauty, emphasizing its uniqueness and appeal to the target audience

  • Showcase the Infrastructure: Provide detailed information on amenities, including premium residential complexes, restaurants, beaches, and recreational areas.

  • Create a Seamless User Journey: Ensure intuitive navigation for exploring apartments, layouts, and all real estate offerings.

  • Boost Interest and Engagement: Use aesthetic and interactive design to attract attention to the project and encourage user interaction.

  • Simplify the Selection and Purchase Process: Include tools for easy access to information about apartments, layouts, and the buying process.

This project was delivered without a development phase: we focused on building the research and design foundation, while the client took on the technical implementation of the website.

Project analysis and research

Project analysis and research

Project analysis and research

The first step was an in-depth study of the client’s needs and setting project goals. We gathered all the necessary information about Al Marjan Island, its unique advantages, and infrastructure to build the foundation for an effective website that reflects the status and prestige of the property

Niche and сompetitor analysis

We conducted a detailed study of the luxury real estate market in Dubai. This phase involved collecting and analyzing websites of key competitors, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Based on the best practices in this niche, we developed ideas tailored to the Al Marjan project.

Audience analysis

Special attention was paid to studying the target audience. We collected data on the preferences of property buyers in premium locations, drew conclusions on how to adapt our approach to the region, and developed the following:

  • User Personas describing typical clients.

  • CJM Maps to analyze the customer journey from initial interest to purchase.

  • Mark Sherrington’s 5W Table to determine what, where, when, to whom, and why the website needs to communicate.

Shaping key messages for the website

Based on the research, we formulated the core ideas and messages that the website should convey to potential clients. These include:

  • The exclusivity of the area and the blend of luxury with natural beauty.

  • The convenience of infrastructure that meets the highest living standards.

  • Simplicity in selecting and purchasing property through intuitive navigation and visual tools.

The research and analysis phase served as a foundation for creating the site structure, fully aligned with the client’s requirements and audience expectations. The insights gathered enabled us to proceed to design and prototyping.

Prototyping

Prototyping

Prototyping

Based on the data obtained during the research phase, we developed a complete structure for the future website. Each element was carefully designed to effectively showcase the unique aspects of Al Marjan Island while meeting the needs of various audience segments.

Structuring the website

The primary goal was to present potential buyers with:

  • Comprehensive information about the district, its infrastructure, and lifestyle.

  • A user-friendly, detailed catalog of real estate, where each property and unit page reveals all essential details.

  • A dedicated segment for investors, featuring a page highlighting investment opportunities and benefits, specifically designed to attract major partners.

Each section of the site was created to address key user questions and offer seamless navigation.

Prototyping

The process began with hand-drawn sketches outlining the main pages and their elements. These sketches set the general direction for further development.

Next, the project was transferred to Figma, where we developed two stages of prototypes:

  1. Low-fidelity prototype to test the structure and navigation logic.

  2. High-fidelity prototype with a refined grid and composition, where every detail was designed for aesthetics and usability.

Incorporating Swiss Style

The website design was executed in Swiss style, which enabled clarity, simplicity, and a premium feel. This approach was a perfect fit for the high-end project, emphasizing the aesthetics and prestige of the district.

Refining Content and Approval

To populate the website, we gathered all the necessary materials: texts, images, property visualizations, district maps, and documents for the investor-focused page.

After finalizing and approving the multi-page site with the client, the project was ready to move to the next stage—visualization and design creation.

Design concept and layout

The design phase focused on creating a premium and visually appealing interface that aligned with the prestige of Al Marjan Island. The emphasis was placed on visualizing the project’s unique features and ensuring ease of interaction for various audience segments—from property buyers to investors.

Color palette and visual style

A palette of premium shades was chosen, combining light and sophisticated tones with accents that highlighted elegance and exclusivity. This color scheme effectively conveyed the luxury and aesthetic appeal of the project.

The visual components of the website were designed to showcase key elements—such as infrastructure, projects, and residences—in a detailed and engaging way while maintaining a clean and minimalistic interface.

Concepts and iterations

Concepts and iterations

During the conceptual design phase, we presented the client with five different homepage concepts, each highlighting a unique aspect of the project. Based on the client’s feedback, the mockups were refined to incorporate all their preferences and emphasize elements critical to the target audience.

Detailing and adaptation

Detailing and adaptation

After approving the primary concept, work began on the full design mockup. Each page was meticulously crafted, balancing visual aesthetics with user-friendly navigation tailored to different audience segments. Special attention was given to:

  • The projects and apartments section, where each page featured interactive elements and immersive visualizations.

  • The investor page, where information was presented concisely and attractively.

The design was fully adapted for various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.

Approval and final touches
